-Combat Style: As a Mystic Knight, Mariyam is skilled at enchanting her weapons for magical capabilities, and additionally wields draconic aether to further enhance her combat. The female au ra stands at nearly four fulms and six ilms, but don't let her size fool you. Mariyam has trained her body over the course of many years, caring for it as if it were a temple. She carries a defined musculature that she is proud of and eager to put on a show of strength. Mariyam wears dark raven hair, usually with violet or pale blue highlights dependent on her tastes at the time. Her amber eyes surrounded by dark eyeshadow, somewhat of a more modern aesthetic than a traditional Thavnairian look.The most physically defining trait of them all; her icy blue scales. Only those who are most trusted in her circle know the tale behind these scales, only beginning to form four summers ago. For anyone else wishing to inquire, it remains a mystery for the time being unless one wins her trust. Mariyam does not have a particular style of wear she prefers outside of a fondness for battle dresses.

Backstory, Hooks and Traits

Mariyam's Backstory Summary:Mariyam was born to a Thavnairian Raen father, and a nomadic Xaela mother in the fishing village of Akyaali. She doesn't have many memories of her father Zain as he passed when she was only four summers old, and spent years of her childhood being brought up by her mother Nedra, struggling to make ends meet after her husband died. From an early age, Mariyam took up fishing from the local villagers in Akyaali to help earn coin for their household. At thirteen summers, Mari traveled to the grand city of Radz-at-Han for better opportunities in order to assist her mother, though little did she know that the trajectory of her life would be altered that day as she met the lord of House Kouris, Cetin Kouris. Mariyam was offered the opportunity to assist lord Kouris with tasks and around the household, and in turn being offered a proper education as well as room and board. After deliberate discussions with her mother Nedra, Nedra believed it would provide and open more opportunities for Mariyam and was accepting of the role being offered to Mari.In time, Mariyam would not only assist Cetin in his tasks and errands, but would eventually be given the role of a guardian to his children, Zahra and Cahil Kouris, both whom Mariyam would protect and care for like younger siblings. She also received a proper education from Lady Theria Kouris, as a prominent and renown Hannish alchemist. As Mariyam became of age, she applied as a recruit for the mystic knight order known as the Knights of the Vajrayana, an order that worked alongside the Radiant Host and Vrtra, knowing his true identity prior to his public revelation.
